Beginning with our president and founder, Dan Knorr, we have organized a staff of highly trained professionals with extensive rehab expertise. Meet our Executive Team

Dan Knorr
President

Daniel Knorr is a Physical Therapy graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and has been a Registered Physical Therapist since 1986. He has worked in the PT field for almost 20 years with extensive experience in hospital and long term care settings. Dan is President and Owner of Functional Pathways and East Tennessee EMG, both with corporate headquarters in Tennessee. Dan resides in Knoxville with his wife and four children.

George Wyatt
Chief Financial Officer

George Wyatt has been the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating
Officer of Functional Pathways since 2003.
 
He has twenty-six years of healthcare experience, most recently as CFO for
Jellico Community Hospital, a subsidiary of Adventist Health Systems. George
has also held positions in hospitals in Kentucky and Missouri as CEO, COO,
CFO, Controller and Chief Accountant. He also has had extensive post acute
care experience in home health and physician practice management.
 
George has an accounting degree from  Eastern Kentucky University and an MBA
from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the American College of
Healthcare Executives and an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial
Managers Association.

Marcus Miller
Director of Operations

Marcus Miller started as a staff therapist assistant in 1998 with Functional Pathways after graduation from Knoxville Business College. He managed two facilities before being promoted to a Regional Manager in 2000, Regional VP in 2004, and then Director of Operations in 2007. His responsibilities include maintaining a customer focused environment while giving our departments the ability to provide unparalleled patient care.
 
Marcus has a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from Lincoln Memorial University and a Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Knoxville Business College. He is a member of American Physical Therapy Association, Tennessee Physical Therapy Association, and the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care.

Brad Carter
Vice President, Sales

Brad Carter has been with Functional Pathways since 2002. He has been in the healthcare industry since 1992. Carter has assisted Functional Pathways in becoming one of the most unique, innovative and customer focused rehabilitation service providers in our industry. He is not only recognized for his exceptional performance, but also for his efforts in building and sustaining long term relationships with customers. Under his guidance Functional Pathways has grown substantially since 2002 and looks forward to his and our continued success.

Carter holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo.

Phillip Rutledge
Vice President, Census Development


Phillip Rutledge has been with Functional Pathways since 2004. He has assisted Functional Pathways in developing its census development program to assist in structuring marketing plans for facilities and therapy programs.


Phillip holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University.

Angel Knorr
Director of Recruiting

Angel Knorr is the Director of Recruiting for Functional Pathways. She has over 10 years experience in the healthcare industry and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Angel recognizes the importance and urgency to hire licensed therapists and leads our Corporate Recruiting Department in successfully staffing our facilities.

Paula Hargis
Human Resources Director

Paula Hargis has 15 years experience in healthcare. She has been Human Resources Director with Functional Pathways since 1998. She has over 13 years experience in Human Resources with 5 of those years working within the hospital industry.

Paula holds an associates degree from Cecil’s College of Business in Asheville, North Carolina.
